SNX Job form
The SNX Job form enables you to add or edit an SNX job definition that specifies a schedule to process SNX messages at specified time intervals and send the output as an e-mail attachment to specified recipients.
To add or edit an SNX job:
In the Id field, enter an ID that uniquely identifies the SNX job.
Optionally, in the Description field, enter a short description of the SNX job.
To run the SNX job in a cluster mode, select a node from the Execution Node drop-down list.
If you do not select a node, N4 runs the SNX job locally on the server in a non-cluster mode.
From the Mailbox drop-down list, select the SNX mailbox you want to associate with the background job.
Click Save.
Each time N4 executes an SNX job, N4 adds a record to the Execution Logs (on page 1) tab. The three states of execution of an SNX job are: In Progress, Succeeded, and Failed. For more information, see Job Execution Logs (on page 1) view.
After you add an SNX job, you can use the Scheduling tab (on page 1) and the Notification tab (on page 1) to set up a schedule for the job and associate e-mail IDs with the job, respectively.
If N4 can complete a job successfully, it moves all the files in the SNX mailbox directory to the archive folder. If processing fails, N4 creates an error file in the errors folders. N4 ignores files that do not have the .xml extension for processing and leaves them in the mailbox directory.
If the job fails, the e-mail notification lists the errors that occurred.
N4 also sends a notification e-mail to the recipients specified on the Notification tab.
